Using traditional fabric from the Ivory Coast of Sierra Leone located in West Africa, the Krio woman wear this necklace as a representation of strength and resilience throughout their daily lives. In the manufacturing process of these necklaces, the Krio people hand make these necklaces by washing, cutting, and organizing these fabrics properly. They are then infused with beads of different colors and a hook enclosure.
